I am the proud mother of two beautiful children and the proud owner of Dream Keeper.

I love my children more than anything on this earth, but they were not easy babies. My first child, Dominic, had colic until he was 3 months old. It was almost impossible to get him to sleep. I would walk him and rock him for hours before he would finally go down for a nap. And when he did, it never seemed to fail… Someone would ring the doorbell causing my dog to bark and Dominic to wake. It used to drive me crazy!

When Dominic was 22 months old, our daughter Grace was born. Just like Dominic, she also had colic. Trying to get Grace to sleep and Dominic down for his nap was nearly impossible. In an attempt to keep both kids sleeping without being disturbed, I decided to tape a 3”x5” note card to my door with the words “Children Sleeping. Do Not Disturb”. This did not always work. I can’t tell you how many times a solicitor, delivery person, neighbor, or friend would ring the doorbell and then see the sign afterwards. They were always apologetic when my dog barked and the kids woke, but their apologies wouldn’t help get the kids back to sleep.

I ended up moving my 3”x5” note card next to my doorbell and that seemed to help. However, it wasn’t convenient getting a new piece of tape for the note card every time I wanted to put it up. It also wasn’t the most appealing thing to look at. I repeatedly searched on the internet for a sign that would keep visitors away and be convenient to put up and take down, but had no luck. So, I decided to make my own.

I brought Dream Keeper to life in October of 2009.
